Kheer|| payasam || Rice pudding ||Rice kheer


Ingredients 

¼ cup rice (soaked in water)
1litre full cream milk
¼ cup sugar
6-8 almonds and cashews (chopped)
½teaspoon cardmom powder 
Saffron (optional)

Method 

Boil the rice and milk in heavy bottom pan.
Simmer over low flame, stirring occasionally till the rice is cooked and milk becomes thick.
When done add sugar, cardamom, almonds and cashews.
Stir till sugar gets dissolved properly.
Serve hot or chilled.
